stc (Saudi Telecom Company) needed to digitise and streamline how it onboards and manages its partner ecosystem. Partner onboarding, certification tracking, rebate management, and fund requests were handled across disconnected manual processes.
A unified portal was needed — one that could handle the full partner lifecycle from initial onboarding through ongoing engagement, with clear role separation between different partner types and internal stc operations teams.
Associate Software Engineer in a 5-member team at Speridian Technologies, building for stc. Contributed to frontend module development and backend service implementation across the partner portal.
Built and enhanced frontend modules for partner workflows, developed backend services for service requests and lead tracking, and implemented RBAC for different partner user types.
End-to-end onboarding flow for new stc partners — application submission, document collection, approval workflows, and partner account activation.
Certification tracking and renewal management, plus rebate calculation and claims processing with fund management workflows.
Lead tracking, opportunity management, and service request handling — giving partners full visibility into their pipeline and stc interactions.
The biggest challenge was modelling the partner hierarchy. stc works with multiple partner types, each with different permissions, different visible modules, and different workflow paths. Getting the RBAC model right at the database level meant the application layer stayed clean.
Scalable API design was a priority — partner data volumes are large, and multiple partner types were hitting the same endpoints with different data shapes. Careful query optimisation and consistent response schemas kept things manageable.
Collaborated closely with stc stakeholders to map existing manual processes to digital workflows. Several edge cases only surfaced during requirements review sessions — which is why we budgeted time for them.
